Job was on the Tax and Census records in Wilkes, Warren, Clarke, and Baldwin Counties Georgia from 1774 to 1809. He probably relocated to Alabama around 1810 where he purchased land in Cherokee Co.

Job and his 1st wife unknown had 6 children; Nancy, Job Jr., Anna, John, Mary, and Keziah.

About 1797 he married Lydia Bishop May, the widow of James May. Lydia May, daughter of James May and Lydia Bishop, married Job Springer, Jr.

In 1825 he bought land in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama and in 1827 married Emily Foster.

He sold his land to son John in 1830 and moved to near Boligee in Greene Co., where he later died.

Job died in the Spring of 1832 in Greene Co., Alabama.

I believe he is buried in an unmarked grave in DeVille Estate Cemetery. This cemetery is on the very edge of his property.

Bio by Rebel Jenkins, Job's 5X Great Granddaughter.
