Deaths - Helen Fay Prough.
Helen Fay Prough, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram L. Prough, corner of Indiana avenue and Eighteenth street, passed away yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Her health had been impaired for some time, but she had been confined to her home only since last Friday. Miss Prough was born in this county on March 15, 1896, and was a member of the '15 class of the Lafayette high school. She was a member of the St. Paul M. E. Sunday school class and was deeply interested in church work. She was a young woman of excellent character and loved by all who knew her. Her death is an unusually sad one, she being the only daughter. Miss Prough was a reader of unusual ability and was the winner of a Demorest silver medal in the W. C. T. U. contest. She is survived by her parents and one brother, James F. Prough. A large circle of admiring friends are shocked and saddened by her death. The funeral will be conducted from the St. Paul M. E. church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Borden B. Kessler will officiate. The interment will be at Springvale cemetery.
