R. L. "Lynn" May passed away on August 22, 2013 from a work related accident. Services will be held on August 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Owens Funeral Home, Ruston, LA.
Lynn was born August 11, 1949, reared in Gonzales, LA and a resident of Simsboro, LA for the last 40 years.
In 1979, Lynn and his wife Alyce formed R.L. May Construction.
Lynn is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alyce Hooks May, two sons Robert (Becky) May of Simsboro, LA and David (Lindsay) May of Choudrant, LA; one daughter, Holly (Joey) Johnson; eight grandchildren Austin, Michaela, Christopher, Cole and Gracie May; Katlynn and Breana Henley and Caleb Johnson.
Additional survivors include his Parents-in-law C.C. and Dottie Hooks of Arcadia, LA.
Lynn is survived by two sisters Barbara (Harry) Brandon and Sheran May; and two brothers Steve (Shirley) May and Keith (Maynelle) May all of Gonzales, LA.
He is predeceased by parents Ryman and Enola May and brother Kenneth May.
Lynn loved "playing" in the dirt with his equipment. His family and friends will remember him a man who loved to work and didn't like to let anything go to waste. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
