HARLINGEN - Joseph Robert "Joe" Davis, Jr., 69, passed away at his residence in Harlingen on August 20, 1999. He retired from CP&L.
Survivors include his wife E.J. Johnson Davis of Harlingen; sons, John Robert Davis and wife Anne of Bandera, James Roger Davis and wife Renee of Bandera; step-children, Lea A. Padilla and husband Carl of Harlingen, Neal Hagens and wife Diana of Harlingen, and Patricia Hagens of Harlingen; brother, Glen Davis and wife Mary Jo of Calallen; sisters, June Bevly and husband Bud of Calallen, Sue Roberts and husband Sidney of Wimberley, Texas, Marilyn Isemberg and husband Kenneth of Portland, Texas, Peggy Clark of Calallen, Sandy Smith and husband Michael of George West, Texas, Margie Overton of Calallen; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 25, 1999 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
