Civil War, CSA, Co. A, "Walker Reynolds Guards" of the 29th AL Inf. He enlisted on 4 Oct 1861. He was also in the 53rd partisan Rangers, a cavalry unit attached to the 29th AL Inf., Co. D, "Bibb Rifles." He was paroled at Greensboro, NC on 1 May 1865.
Green was the son of Madison "Major" and Elizabeth "Betty" Hubbard (Gentry) Rasberry. He married twice, first to Martha A. "Mattie" Thomas and then to Mary Merchant.
On his Alabama death certificate it shows his mother as Betty Gentry.
