A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was former Owner & Operator of Mary Rose Beauty Salon on Haywood Road for 60 years and former member of Rev. Dr. Robert E. Harris Chapel.
Mrs. Hagood was a daughter of the late Homer Donald Forster and Hazel Roena Owens Forster and wife of Harold Allman Runion, Sr. who died in 1952 and Max M. Hagood who died in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Forster and Robert "Bob" Forster.
Surviving are her son, Harold Allman Runion, Jr. and wife Rita of Fletcher; grandchildren, Phillip Burns, Robert Runion and Christopher Runion all of Fletcher and Timothy Runion and wife Ashley of Charlotte; sister, Hilda Curd and husband Bruce of Marion; 4 great grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, January 31, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
