Tensas Parish officers reported that he apparently suffered a heart attack and fell from a boat in Yucatan Lake Thursday morning. His body was recovered by his grandson, Jim Whatley, operator of the boat.
Mr. Rundell was a retired farmer and gin operator. His survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Rundell; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Whatley and Mrs. Frankie Curry, both of West Monroe; a brother, Ezra Rundell, Delhi; two sisters, Mrs. Mertice Darrow and Mrs. Delouria DeLoach, both of Delhi; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Felton Sharp, Fuller Thompson, Jack Woodard, Raymond Stroud, Ralph Speirs, Ben Ray, Dr. Lorenz Teer and Junior Nielsen.
