CARRIER MILL
Vivian Irene Randolph, 82, a resident of Carrier Mills, passed away peacefully with family at her side at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, in the Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was born on July 25, 1931, in the Bankston Community of Saline County to the late Ward E. and Nellie Lee Boatright Fox.
She married Harold Randolph in Clay, Ky., on December 2, 1948, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2001.
Vivian was a devoted Christian and attended church often. Her love for her family was always shining through and she will be fondly remembered as "Nana" to many. Vivian and her late husband operated the Randolph Fish Farm for many years on the family farm where she also loved raising animals.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana (Steve) Rice of Carrier Mills; a son, Randy (Marianne) Randolph of Stonefort; three grandchildren, Ronnie (Karen) Rice of Stonefort, Shawna Rice of Carrier Mills and Britta Randolph of Stonefort; three great-grandchildren, Malaki Metcalf, Gage Metcalf and Colton Rice; and a sister-in-law, Pat Fox of Harrisburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Mick; and a brother, Melvin Fox.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the First Church of God located in Carrier Mills on the Carrier Mills blacktop. The Rev. Joe Daniels will officiate with burial to follow in the Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the service time at 1 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory to the First Church of God would be the preferred choice of remembrance. Envelopes will be available at the church.
