Jeffery Lyle Amundson passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2013, at his home in New Brighton, MN.
Jeffery was born on September 4, 1953, in Dawson, the son of Virgil and Arlys (Larson) Amundson. He was baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Dawson and confirmed at St. Paul's Evangelical & Reformed Church in Delano.
Jeffery attended Delano public school until he joined the U.S. Navy at the age of seventeen. He served six years in the Navy where he served aboard the USS America. After his discharge from the Navy, he was employed by the Minneapolis Post Office, where he worked until shortly before his death.
He is survived by his parents, Arlys and Virgil Amundson of Dawson; four brothers: James (Liz) Amundson of Maple Grove, Brian Amundson of Crystal, Mark Amundson of Eagan, and Robert (Terri) Amundson of Chanhassen; two sisters: Jane (John) Hayes and Janet (Russ) Morkrid, both of Delano; nine nieces and nephews; and five great nieces and nephews.
