Gerald Wayne Jentsch, 45, passed away on January 18, 2014 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Kevin Tiaden officating. Burial will be in Bowman Cemetery in Lakeside City, Texas under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Gerald was born on July 31, 1968 to Gerhardt and Betty Jo (Williamson) Jentsch in Wichita Falls, Texas. Gerald graduated from Archer City High School in 1986 where he played on the basketball team and also played trumpet in the band. He attended Midwestern State University and graduated with a Degree in Business Administration. Gerald had worked for Lunn's Colonia Funeral Home where he was office manager and funeral director for 22 years.

Gerald enjoyed music and managed a band in which he played the bass guitar. Gerald loved the outdoors; he was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing golf. He was an excellent cook and liked to share his cooking skills with family and friends. Gerald's favorite sport was hockey and he was an avid fan of the NHL and the Dallas Stars.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Gerald was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Gerhardt and Betty Jo Jentsch. He is survived by his loving wife Cathy Jentsch of Wichita Falls, Texas; his daughters, Morgan Dougherty of Denton, Texas and Kylie Dougherty of Wichita Falls, Texas; his brother, Welf Jentsch and wife Cathy and nephew Lane Hart, all of Austin, Texas; his sister, Carol Campbell and husband Ward of Archer City, Texas and nephews, Jace Campbell of Austin, Texas and Shay and Ty Campbell, both of Archer City, Texas.

The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM, for visitation.
