Early Resident of Kaysville Dead

KAYSVILLE -- James Frederick King, 70, lifelong resident of Kaysville, died at the family home Saturday at eight-thirty p. m. after a long illness.

Mr. King was born June 6, 1870. in Kaysville, a son of Alonzo M. and Ellen Robins King, He engaged in farming and stock raising and was noted as a horse fancier, having specialized in riding horses.

For over 30 years he drove a pair of mules on a milk route, He was an active member of the L. D. S. First Ward, where he was an elder.

On Dec. 12, 1894, he married Rose Barnes in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. She died in 1937.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Willia, F. King, Chester A. King and Mrs. Nell Nelson, Kaysville; Florien B. King, Clearfield; Mrs. Mrs. Bessie Moon, Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, also the following brothers and sisters: Marvin E. King, Mrs. Capitola Nicholls, Mrs. J. H. Lythgoe, Mrs. James E. Bennett and Mrs. Luella Bateman, Kaysville; Mrs. Sam Hill, Ogden.

Services will be conducted Wednesday at one p.m. in the LDS Kaysville Tabernacle by Bishop Hubert C. Burton of the First Ward, Burial will be in Kaysville-Layton Memorial Park, directed by the mortuary, 3408 Washington, Ogden.
