A son of Gottlieb Dapp & Christina Schweitzer,he was born in Stockenhausen near Ballingen in Wurttenberg ,Koenig Reich, Germany.

He settled in Harrisburg in 1861 and shortly afterward moved to Carlisle,Pennsylvania where he learned the bakers trade & business. He later returned to Harrisburg and operated a bakeshop at Fulton and Verbeke Streets.

In 1906 he moved his family to Erie,Pennsylvania,living at 526 East 9th Street. He worked at both the Keystone and Ann Street bakeries in Erie and along side his son,Charles,in his bakeshop at Cambridge Springs. Conrad remained in the Cambridge Springs area until his death in 1911.

Conrad was married 1st about 1863 to Elissetta Barbara Mayer.
They were the parents of:
~ John Frederick Dapp;
~ Magdelana Dapp;
~ William Herman Dapp .

After the death of his 1st wife in March of 1875,Conrad having 3 young children to care for was quick to remarry. He married in late April 1875 to Arianna Francis Beachler. They also had a long and happy marriage.
They were the parents of these children:
~ Edward Dapp;
~ Charles Lewis Dapp;
~ Mary A. Dapp Farrell ;
~ Clara C. Dapp;
~ George Conrad Dapp .
