Funeral services for William Franklin Tamplin, 77, were held Thursday morning in the Plummer-Fair Chapel and interment was in the Garden of Memories. Rev. Ralph Reasor, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated. He passed away Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. He was a native of Shelby County and had lived in Kerrville since 1920. He was married to the former Beulah McLeroy and they had celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in February. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a veteran of World War I and a barber by trade. He is survived by his wife of 961 Burnett Street, four children, Charles M., of Kerrville, Jack D., Flagstaff, Ariz., James H. and Mrs. E. E. Archelger both of San Antonio, two sisters Mrs. Maud Robertson, Marshall and Mrs. Lena Mead, San Antonio, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
