Karen Sue Ogden, 46 of Warsaw, Indiana and formerly of Rushville, Indiana passed away at 5:02 am Thursday, January 9, 2014 in her residence.
On December 3, 1967, she was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roy and Roxie (Earnest) Edwards. She was united in marriage to John Ogden on June 13, 1992 in Rushville, who survives.
Living most of her life in Rushville, she moved to Warsaw in 2001. She worked for Check In To Cash, Warsaw and then Zimmer, Inc., Warsaw. Karen was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw.
Karen was very much involved in her children's activities and was a member of the P.T.O. She was an avid sports fan, especially football, watching every Sunday and Monday. She was a strong witness of her faith, even sharing her faith with her caregivers while they provided care for her. She was also known as "Mama Ogden" to many of the children who were in her life.
She is survived by her husband, John Ogden, Warsaw; her daughter, Kearston Ogden, Warsaw; her son, Colin Ogden, Warsaw; her mother, Roxie Waggoner, Warsaw; her sister, Sharon Edwards, Warsaw and several step brothers and step sisters and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, her step father, Ron Waggoner, her brother, Scott Edwards and her niece.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, January 12, 2014 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Tom Newhouse officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation hours will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday, January 11, 2014 and also from 11:00 - 1:00 pm Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the funeral chapel.
