Lynn D. McHenry, 73, of Candlewood Lake, Mount Gilead, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after an extended illness.

Born Jan. 17, 1940, in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of Olen and Alma (Steinruck) Watts. She is survived by her husband, Donald L. McHenry, to whom she was married on Sept. 24, 1960.

Lynn was a graduate of Scott Township High School in Espy in 1957, and Temple University School of Nursing in 1960 with a degree in Registered Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at hospitals in Angola, Ind., Coldwater, Mich., and Galion, Ohio, from where she retired. After her retirement, she worked as an Industrial Nurse for Marion County, Ohio M.R.D.D.

Lynn and Don have lived at Candlewood Lake the last 22 years and enjoyed RVing across the country and traveling to many places throughout the world.

In addition to her husband of 53 years, Donald L. McHenry, she is survived by children: Patrick (Susan) McHenry of Galloway, Ohio; and Christina McHenry of Ann Arbor, Mich.; grandson, Edward (Katalin) Reichenbach, of Plain City, Ohio; three great-grandchildren: Kayla, Max and Alex; sisters: Melinda Zears of Dallas, Texas; Margaret Bish of McDonald, Pa.; and Lisa Watts of Berwick; and brother, Jon Watts, of Berwick.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 S. Market St., Galion, Ohio, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, with the Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. A graveside service and burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St., Galloway, Ohio.
