Born in Jackson County, Mrs. Savage had lived in Hall County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late John Willis and Allice Ever Lelia Addington Autry. She worked for McClellan's and also L & K Cafeteria. She attended the Mountain Grove Baptist Church in White County. Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Autry.
Survivors include her son, John W. Savage, Royston and Rabun Gap; daughters, Mary Ann Helton, Memphis, TN; and Linda Arrington, Gainesville; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2004 in the Chapel of Little-Davenport Funeral Home, with the Reverend Thomas Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, January 23, 2004 at the funeral home.
