Obituary

Leslie Junior Williams was born December 12,1924 to Henry and Mary Williams in Green County,Kentucky who preceded him
in death.
Leslie professed belief in Christ at an early age at Mount Union Baptist Church.
He joined the United States Army and served 2 years. After his discharge from the service,he came to Louisville,Kentucky, where he resided until his death.
Leslie departed this life at the age of 51 years,on 24th of
December 1975.
He leaves to mourn his passing,5 sisters:7 brothers:and a host of nieces and nephews;and other relatives and friends.

We have come together today at the call of death,an event that is constantly occurring around us.
Death stares us in the face on all sides. The fields that were green a few days ago are now brown.GOD teaches in HIS word"All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass witherth and the flowers thereof fadeth away.
Most people look upon death as a dark and gloomy thing, without one redemming quality:but, the death of the righteous is like the lowering clouds that shut out the sun at noonday;it has a bright side and a silver lining.

We cannot say,we will not say; That he is gone;he is just away. With a lingering smile and a wave of his hand,He has gone into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair it must be since he is there. He has gone but not forgotten,Never will his memory fade;Loving thoughts will forever linger,Around the grave where he will be laid.

Another soldier gone,to get a great reward;he fought the fight,he kept the faith, and now gone home to GOD.
His soul has gone to GOD who giveth; The earth will claim it's own,his body; But he is shouting around the throne,While we are left to mourn.
