Died Saturday morning February 21, 2009. Paul was born June 20, 1956 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Harold and Pearl (Ball) Butler. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Summit Polymers for 21 years. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Cindy Butler; second wife, Penny Butler; a sister, Mary Butler; a brother, William A. Butler; a father-in-law, Earl Sabin; and a brother-in-law, James Hastings, Sr. He is survived by three children, Toni Ann (Carl) Butler and Jessie Lee (Calena) Butler all of Kalamazoo, and Lisa Butler of Three Rivers; three grandchildren, Mikayla, Chelsea, and Emma; five sisters, Peggy Hastings and Ruth Van Meter both of Kalamazoo, Katie Mason of Tennessee, Betty Taylor of Kalamazoo, and Lena Janette (Jim) Emig of Pine Lake; a brother, James (Pearl) Butler of Three Rivers; nephew, James Hastings, Jr. of Kalamazoo; special friends, Carl Fluty and Larry Bradley; and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held 1 o'clock Thursday in Gilson Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan American Diabetes Association. 343-1508.
