Was originally interred at Roberts M.E. Chapel Cemetery near Ellsworth in Dubois County. Four of the original founders of Roberts Chapel were John A. Roberts, James Kendall, William Jacobs and James Ellis. The first service was performed by Rev, A.O. Barnett.

Roberts Chapel was located on a high rise in Hall Township, near the town of Ellsworth. Rev. Marvin Ellis was the first minister and he and his son's were instrumental in building the church. This site is now under the Patoka Lake and the cemetery was moved to the Patoka Memorial Cemetery which is located about 9 miles south of French Lick on Highway 145.
