Bobbie Jack (Speck) Wooten was born to Jack and Verna Speck on December 27, 1934 in Vian, OK, near Sally Jones Lake where she attended Vian schools. Bobbie was the sixth of seven children. In 1952 Bobbie married her childhood sweetheart, J. C. Wooten, of Webbers Falls, OK. They shared 61 years together. Upon graduation from Northeastern State University, Bobbie taught twenty years at Gore Elementary before retiring. She passed this life on Thursday, December 19, 2013 after having obtained the age of 78 years, 11 months, and 22 days. Bobbie was loved by her family, friends, and students. Her passion in life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. While our sorrow is great, our grief is eased in knowing she was a child of God. Bobbie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls, OK. Services for Bobbie will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 23, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls with Reverend Glen Cox and Reverend Jason Ravan officiating. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Summerlin, Ryan Summerlin, Ryan McDaniel, Jared Wooten, Kayleigh Summerlin, Telitha McAlister, and Jacey McDaniel. Burial will be in Round Mountain Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.
