Norman Lee McCombs, age 76, passed away at home peacefully in Palmdale, Calif. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013. Norman was born Sept. 20, 1937 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Vernon and Mable McCombs.


Loving husband to Joyce A. McCombs who preceded him in death in 1996.


Norman leaves behind three daughters, Darlene Gagne of Palmdale, Charlene Cordera of Palmdale and Suzy Casper of Palmdale. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl and Johnny and a sister Nora.


Norman was an active community member and businessman for many years in Simi Valley, Calif., as owner of V&M Auto Parts on Erringer Rd., before moving to Lake Los Angeles in 1990. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Palmdale. Norman served his country proudly in the United States Navy 1954-1958 as an Aviation Ordnance Man and awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, Dec. 27, 2013 at Halley Olsen Murphy, Palmdale with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
