Freddie Warren Taylor, 69, of Leesville, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 in Leesville, Louisiana. He was employed by the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office and was always eager to help others. He enjoyed old cars and had a great love for his family and friends.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents Alta B. Davis and Fred Taylor; his wife, Betty Taylor; brother, David Taylor and three sisters, Judy Coates, Glenda Berube and Janie Snyder. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are one son, Brian Gilcrease and wife Trudie of Florien, LA; one stepson, Donnie Mote and wife Lark of Boyce, LA; two sisters, Trina Haymon of Leesville, LA and Barbara McFarlin of Rockwall, TX; eight grandchildren; two great – grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 30th, 2014 at 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday, December 1st, 2014 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 from 8:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in the Hicks Community.
