KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC-Betty Jane Geissman Streib died October 31, 2011
at her home in Summit Place, Kings Mountain, NC, after a short illness.
She was born August 11, 1925 to Daniel W. and Mary Kurtz Geissman in Chatfield, Crawford County, Ohio.
She lived in Ohio until she married William D. Streib August 19, 1947 and moved to the family farm in Hartford City, IN. Their marriage lasted 44 years until Bill died in 192. She was an avid writer and gardener.
She is survived by three children, Michael of Muncie, Cathleen (husband-Ben) of Kings Mountain, NC, and Johanna (husband-Lou) of Sparks, NV; she is also survived by two grandchildren, Nathanial Hubbard (wife-Mary of Aberdeen, MD, and Megan Hubbard Furnish (husband-Brent) of Taylors, SC; and two great-grandchildren, James Hubbard and Maylie Furnish.
Her final services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Muncie, IN, on November 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. Reception of friends will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
