She was born August 8, 1923 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia to the late Lonnie C. Burns and Margaret George Burns Williams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin A. Ross in 1974; and three brothers, Claude W. Burns, Fred C. Burns and Ralph H. Burns.
She is survived by a daughter, Marlene Reynolds of Richmond; a son, M. W. "Bill" Ross of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, Anthony Ross and wife, Kristin, Dena Reynolds and Chad Reynolds; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Riverview Cemetery, Waynesboro with Reverend David George officiating. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
