Melodee was born in Vidalia, Georgia on December 19, 1990. Her family moved to Texas for a few years and then to Arizona, where she spent much of her childhood. Her family came back to Georgia in 2003. Melodee spent her teenage years in Macon, where she attended Rutland Middle School and Rutland High School. She then moved back to Arizona for a while and attended culinary school. Soon she moved to Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii. She was an avid reader and writer. She loved cooking. In her short life, Melodee had many adventures. She is survived by her father, Michael Blankenship of Macon; her mother, Mystee Wilcox of Gray; her brother, Matthew Blankenship of Statesboro; her grandparents, Charles and Ginny Blankenship of Byron; L.E. and Sharon McElmurray of Macon; Bill and Fay Leno of Chandler, Arizona, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
