Delilah lived in Centerville, Linn Co., KS when she made a statement about her sister Nancy being married to Samuel M. Robinson in 1866 in their father's home in ILL.

OBITUARY:
The Parker Message 2 Jan 1914, Death of Another Old Citizen. Grandma Waite fell down stairs Wednesday morning at the home of her son, Geo. Waite, six miles east of Centerville and died a few minutes after being picked up by members of the family. She was quite old and it is not known whether her death was caused by the fall or whether heart trouble was the cause. The funeral will be held today and burial at Wesley Chapel.

Greely Graphic January 9, 1914, Mrs. Wait Killed---Emory Wait received the sad news that his mother, Mrs. Delilah Wait, was killed by falling down stairs at the home of her son, George, 6 miles east of Centerville Wednesday morning. She missed her footing and fell on her head and shoulders. Death was instant she was 74 years old. She was born in Dakota (North Carolina).

She and her husband formerly lived on a farm at the Wait school house 6 miles east of here. They left there 30 years ago. Later they ran a store here in town 2 or 3 years. Mr. Wait died 25 years ago and since then Mrs. Wait has lived with her children. She leaves three sons, Emory of this city; George of Centerville and Will of Kansas City. She was a highly respected lady. Emory and his wife went to Centerville Wednesday afternoon. Emory said that his mother would be buried either here or at the Wait cemetery..
