Ralph M. Abshire, 96, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood. Ralph was born Nov. 28, 1917, in Paris, Texas. He was a member of Trinity Hills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Edna Margaret Steen Abshire. Survivors: Sons: Ron Abshire, Jim Abshire, Danny Abshire and wife, Anne, and Larry Abshire and wife, Carolee; daughter-in-law, Patty Abshire; grandchildren, Kimberley Ackerman, Jason Abshire, Brandon Abshire, Ashley Armstrong, Mason Abshire, Dustin Abshire and Courtney Rendahl; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Zachary and Kasey Anne Ackerman, Caroline Anne Armstrong, Thomas Mason Armstrong, Caroline Anne Rendahl, Campbell Mae Rendahl, Matthew Grayson Abshire; brothers, Jack Abshire and Robert Louis Abshire; and sister, Marie Strickland.
