Irene A. Petersen, 95, of Davenport passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at The Runge Mortuary and Crematory. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-6 pm at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Irene was born December 18, 1914 in Durant, IA, the daughter of Carl and Minnie (Huesmann) Wichelmann. She was united in marriage to Harold Petersen on February 17, 1937 in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 1996. After her marriage she along with her husband, farmed until 1973 in Scott County. She also worked at Bradford Clothing from 1966 to 1973.
She was a member of Plus 60 Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
