CANDOR--Mrs. Clara H. DeWolfe, 72, a retired seamstress for Rothschilds Department Store and a former telephone operator with the Candor Telephone Company, died Saturday, July 22, 1972, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. She lived at 9 Park Dr.
Mrs. DeWolfe was a member of the McKendree United Methodistt Church; the Bethany Class of the Church;the Candor Grange; the Tuesday Evening Club; a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary; past noble grand of the Rebecca Lodge 456; and a member of the Senior Citizens of Candor.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Matilda Honsberger of Spencer; one son, Arthur R. DeWolfe Jr., of Ithaca; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Turner of Candor and Mrs. Verda D. Schmidt of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Gilbert W. Honsberger of Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Dawson of Arroyo Grand, Calif., and Mrs. Elsie M. McCarthy of Ithaca; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. James J. Umbra of the McKendree United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Candor.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
