"THOMAS C. NORRIS, 78, a retired Cheltenham Township detective sergeant, died Friday at Doylestown Hospital. He had been a resident of Cheltenham before moving to the Leader Nursing Home in Montgomeryville. Mr. Norris, who retired in 1969, had been a detective sergeant in Cheltenham for 33 years. His son, Thomas C. Norris Jr., is Cheltenham 's deputy chief of police. Survivors, in addition to his son: his wife, Mary; daughters, Mary Lee O'Leary and Pat Norris; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a brother. Services: Viewing, 7 p.m. tomorrow, Joseph McGoldrich Funeral Home in Jenkintown; Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Presentation Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Cheltenham ; burial, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham."
