Blanche E. Dochterman of Wickenburg died Sept. 18 in Sun City. She was 70. Mrs. Dochterman was born March 2, 1926 in Keystone, Okla. She had lived in Arizona for the past 21 years. She and her husband were married Nov. 9, 1944. She worked for the Longview Fiber Co. in Longview, Colo., as a factory worker in her early years. Then Mrs. Dochterman worked in the packing and shipping department at the California Almond Company in Bakersfield, Calif. After that job, she worked at Perfect Photo, as a film developer. Mrs. Dochterman had a great love for growing, cactus and caring for wild desert animals. She also loved to crochet.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Charles "Bill" Dochterman of Wickenburg; brother Dale E. Kerr of Lodi, Calif.; sister Olive M. Sullivan of Kelso, Wash.; and nephew Tom Sullivan of Oregon.
Funeral services were held Tuesday (Sept. 24) at 10 a.m. at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ed Wessling officiating. Private visitation was conducted for family members only.
Interment was at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home, Inc. handled all the arrangements.
