Wallie's obituary from an unknown source:

"Car Accident Brings Death to Park Youth
Walter Stevens Dies Few Hours Before His 20th Birthday

Funeral services for Walter W. Stevens, 19, Lincoln Park youth who operated a gas station of West Seven Mile road, Detroit, and who died at 9:35 p.m. Saturday in Henry Ford hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident, were held at 2 p.m. yesterday in the Nixon funeral chapel, Lincoln Park, with the Rev. J.B. Harris, pastor of the Free Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Ferndale cemetery.

The youth's parents and brothers reside at 4185 Coolidge avenue, Lincoln Park, where he made his home until he took over the gas station at 23375 West Seven Mile road and moved to a trailer at the station.

Young Stevens died only a few hours before his birthday--he would have been 20 years old Sunday. Born in Detroit, he attended Lincoln Park high school and was well known in this area.

He was injured at 2 a.m. Friday when his automobile collided with a car driven by James Gravengood, 36, of 34540 Ash street, Dearborn, on Telegraph at Dartmouth road, Dearborn.

Gravengood and his wife, Dorothy were both injured. Miss Drusilla Lloyd, 19, of 5735 Mayfair avenue, Dearborn township, Stevens' fiancee, also suffered severe injuries and was taken to Ford hospital. She is expected to recover. Stevens and Miss Lloyd had planned to be married soon.

Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.N. Stevens, Walter leaves two brothers, Arthur and George Stevens, both of Lincoln Park."
