According to local reports, he was slated to be promoted to rank of Captain, but was killed in the explosion and crash of an army bomber in...Wilson canyon, 13 miles east of Soda Springs, Idaho. He was one of ten members of the flight crew, and was missing in action for two days.
He was interred on Sunday, 13 Dec 1942.
