Wanda Faye Tipton, 76, lifelong Fairland resident and wife of Gerald Tipton went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 10, 2013 after a brief illness. Wanda was born on March 18, 1937 in Afton, Oklahoma to Ruby (Lofgren) and Ernest Gardner. She graduated from Fairland High School in 1955 and married the love of her life on April 20, 1955 at the First Baptist Church of Fairland. She followed her husband as he served in the United States Army and they resided in Tacoma, Washington before returning to Fairland in 1957 where they raised their family. Wanda's loves in life included her unwavering faith in her God, her husband, her children, her grandchildren and her dear friends. She worked for over 20 years at the Ottawa County Tag Agency and worked tirelessly as a homemaker providing a home built on the foundation of Jesus Christ for her family. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Fairland, the Alpha Mothers Club and was a die-hard sports fan, especially of the Fairland Owls and her beloved Oklahoma Sooners.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jackie Gardner, Lee Gardner, Gene Gardner and Carl Gardner. Wanda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gerald Tipton of Fairland; two daughters, Cheryl Risenhoover and her husband Barb of Collinsville, Charlotte Mindeman of Tulsa; two sons, Rick Tipton and his wife Rhonda of Tulsa, Greg Tipton and his wife Diana of Norman; grandchildren Erikka Ault of Edmond, Tiffany DeSautell of Tulsa, Austin Risenhoover of Santa Barbara, California, Kacy Summers of Collinsville, Lindsay Hurst of Sapulpa, Emily Collins of Dallas, Allison Lawson of Tulsa, Parker and Rachel Tipton of Norman and Alex and Tyler Cullison of Norman; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bobbie Gardner of Bella Vista, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Frank Tipton of Fairland, as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Fairland with Internment taking place immediately after services at the Fairland Cemetery. Officiating is Rev. Andy Krebs; serving as pallbearers will be Austin Risenhoover, Parker Tipton, Alex Cullison, Tyler Cullison, Dustin Ault, Kyle DeSautell and Micah Summers. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that direct donations be made to Clarehouse Hospice, 7617 S. Mingo Road, Tulsa, OK 74133 or online at www.clarehouse.org.
