Obituary
Mrs. Lucretia Gregg was born March 8, 1805, in the town of Tompkins, Delaware county, New York State. Her parents moved to Ohio when she was 9 years of age, and lived in the place where Norwalk now stands. She was married in Milan on March 5, 1830, to James S. Gregg, of Batavia, New York. The issue of this marriage was ten children, five of whom are now living, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Bristol and James Gregg, of Denver, Col.: Geo. E. Gregg, of California: Mrs. Mary E. Mills, of Chicago, and Mrs. Kent, who at present is here. The family lived in Sandusky for a number of years. Mrs. Gregg and her daughter Mrs. Bristol, moved to Berlin Heights in 1883. Mrs. Gregg was the child of Christian parents, and was religiously trained and united with the Presbyterian church in Milan and was afterward a member of the church in Sandusky during her life.She was distinguished for her work of charity during the years of her youth and strength, and for a faithful and consistent Christian charactor unto the time of her death. She was the fondest and most devoted of mothers to her family, by whom she is lamented and mourned, and who ministered to her with loving fidelity during her long illness. She died full of years and honor, being 90 years and 8 months old.
