Nick Alan Manston was born on February 24, 1965 in Moorhead, MN to Harlan Dale and Shirley Ann (Stulz) Manston. He grew up near Downer, MN on the family farm. He attended school in Barnesville and graduated in 1983. He attended Tech School in East Grand Forks, MN.

Nick worked with his dad on the family farm for many years. He raised buffalo and llamas. He also worked for Brian Halverson on the Potato Farm and the Mainline Potato Warehouse.

Nick enjoyed his hunting dogs, deer hunting, and pheasant hunting. He loved his time at the lake. He also enjoyed his family time with his nieces and nephews. He was awarded a Century Farm that his great grandfather had homesteaded. He enjoyed traveling and visiting people. He had also won the strong man contest during the Barnesville Potato Day Festival.

Nick is survived by his mother Shirley; three siblings: Darla (Tony) Woodson, Volare "Lori" (Ken) Kuhn and Bruce (Andrea) Manston.

Nick was preceded in death by his dad Harlan in 2012 and his grandparents, Charles and Delia Manston, Alfred and Myrtle Stulz.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Barnesville, MN. Burial will follow in Elkton Cemetery, near his home in rural Barnesville.
