His parents were Henry Pepin. A watch maker from Geneva Switzerland. He and his wife Pauline first appear in the 1860 Census for Bayour Sara, West Feliciana, Louisiana, he age 29 and she age 24. Henry was 39 years old in the 1870 Census. His mother was Pauline, from (Darmstadt) Baden Germany, age 35. His brother Arthur age 8, born in Louisiana. His younger brother was Edward, age 10 months old born in Alabama. A Henry Pepin was listed as a watch and Jewelry maker in the 1871 Nashville TN Directory. A younger sister shows up in the 1880 census, Pauline, age 6. Henry Pepin is not listed in the 1880 Census.

Alfred's mother Pauline died in 1892. I believe that after her death Alfred and his younger sister Pauline moved to Memphis. Pauline is listed in the 1898 Memphis Directory as an artist and Alfred is a plumber. I believe she was Mary Pauline Pepin born May 18 1874 and died May 19 1958 in Los Angeles. She was married to John Milton Cusick.

His brother Arthur was born Nov 16, 1861 in new Orleans Louisiana. Their fathers full name was listed as Jean Jacque Marie Henri Pepin and mother was Pauline Young. He is listed in numerous Memphis City Directories, worked as a barber at Pepin and Landgraf.
