Anita Services for Mrs. Spies
ANITA, IA - Services for Mrs. Florence Spies, 78, who died at a Des Moines hospital Sunday, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church here. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight at the Long Funeral Home.
For many years Mrs. Spies managed the "Seven Spies Sisters" (her daughters) who did a dance act in circuses and on the vaudeville circuit.
Mrs. Spies is survived by eight daughters, a son, three sisters, two brothers, 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
