George Winters, 81, of Homosassa, died Thursday (Dec. 16, 1999) at home.
Born in Elk Park, N.C., he came here 20 years ago from Boston Heights, Ohio.
He was a retired maintenance man for Lawson Milk Co., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Homosassa, Citrus Sertoma, Cuyahoga Falls Masonic Lodge 735, North 37 Valley of Akron Scottish Rite, North American Hunting Club and the National Rifleman's Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred B. Fisher; a son, Dennis J., Stow, Ohio; his mother, Nina Parrish, Homosassa; a foster son, Kevin Bray, Lake Butler; two daughters, Beverly Mae Hoffman, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Shirley Marie Buie, Kent, Wash.; a brother, Bobby, Morganton, N.C.; two sisters, Dorothy Rowland, Newland, N.C., and Delestine McKinney, Roan Mountain, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
