LONG BEACH - Mr. Bernard Leroy Heath, 86, of 221 N.E. 69th Street, died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Shalotte.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1999, in Guilford College United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Heath was born in Guilford County to Cladie Lowdermilk Heath and Charles Lee Heath. Mr. Heath was formerly a brick mason and general contractor in Greensboro He served on the U.S.S. Samuel N. Moore, destroyer, in the Pacific Fleet, during World War II. He was a member of Oak View United Methodist Church in Yaupon Beach, NC.
