She was a schoolteacher at several schools in Grant County and was in the Eastbrook School System for most of her teaching career. She was a member of Marion Church of the Brethren, Home Economic Club of Washington Township and Marion Senior Bowling League.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Tom) Burke, Marion; a grandson, Scott Burke, Marion; and a great-grandson, Joshua Burke, Marion.
In addition to their daughter, Lenore and John raised Ken Weldon, Florida, and Mike Weldon (deceased).
She also was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Agness.
