OBITUARY - Homer Stoneking died this afternoon at 3:40 of consumption after an illness of 9 months. During the last hours of his life he sank rapidly. The seriousness of his condition became apparent Tuesday when he became unconscious. The deceased was born in West Virginia in 1879. In 1901 he was united in marriage with Miss Ossie Satterlee of Okeene. Three years ago they came to Hennessey where they since lived. Deceased had been engaged in the poultry business. He leaves a wife and one child to mourn his death. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m.

-Homer Stoneking, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stoneking, died at the home of his parents in this city last Thursday afternoon at about half past three o'clock. The deceased had been sick [consumption] for a long time, and death was not unexpected. Funeral services, under the auspices of the Knights of Pythias and M.W.A. lodges, of which he was a member, were conducted by Rev. J.M. Strong at the M.E. church, on Friday afternoon, and the remains were laid to rest in the Hennessey city cemetery.
-Mr. Stoneking was born in Tyler county, West Virginia, February 12, 1879. He removed with his parents to Kansas some years ago, and about two years ago came to Oklahoma. He was united in marriage in December 1901 [in Okeene, Blaine, OK], to Miss Ocie Saterlee, who with one child, survive. Mr. Stoneking was an upright, christian young man, and the entire community sympathizes with the wife and baby, father and mother and other relatives.

according to the 1910 Census, the baby was a little girl, named Lillie. She was listed as "Lillie Warford", living with her mother and step-father.
