I M (Mitt) Bridges worked his entire life as a tenant farmer in Bell or Williamson County, Texas. He followed a long line of farmers. His father was B F (Benjamin Franklin) Bridges 1840-1890 buried at Corn Hill Cemetery and his mother was Penelope Ake buried in Bartlett Cemetery. His grandfather was Guilford Bridges born in North Carolina 1811, died in Texas 1898, buried in Waters Creek Cemetery in Llano County Texas. His grandmother was Laurna Jane (Lorania) Winters born in Tennessee 1814, died in Missouri circa 1863 place of burial not known. Both his father and grandfather were born in Missouri, Lawrence County. He married Lucy Ann Wright in Bell Co., Texas. Sons Harvey Lee Bridges, Russell Burgess Bridges, James Clyde Bridges and Jesse B Bridges. Daughters Artie Kegley, Mona Lawson, Mattie Swift, Berniece Presley and Leola Lewis. Daughter Annie died in childhood as did twin son and daughter not named.
