Billy Joe Robinson, 79, of Waco, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 14, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, Waco.

Billy was born in China Spring, Texas, to the late David Earl and Anna (Woodruff) Robinson. In August of 1957, he married Margaret Lillard. For over 30 years, he owned and operated Billy Robinson's Trash Service, retiring in 1999. Billy enjoyed working on various projects in his woodshop, which included refurbishing old and broken bicycles and giving them away to others. He was a funny, caring, and joking man who would do anything for anyone if asked. Billy also had a tenderness for animals, and even had three unrelated consecutive generations of Pomeranians in a row, all named "Angel".

He was preceded in death by a son; and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Robinson, of Waco; sons, Billy Robinson and Diane, of Waco, and Stephen Robinson and wife, Darla, of Waco; daughter, Kathy Freedman and husband, Paul, of China Spring; grandchildren, Bobby Joe, Teresa and husband, Ronnie, Cindy, Luke and wife, Apryl, Santana, and Kristina and husband, Josh; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Gordon and Missy Niswinger; and many other dear family members and friends.
