Garnet L. Fields, age 103, of Kitts Hill, OH., passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013, at a local health care facility.

The Pedro, OH., native was born February 25, 1910, the daughter of the late Manuel and Rosetta Mapes Bowman.

She attended Etna Schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Emory S. Fields, who passed away September 17, 1997, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Emory Gene Fields and Virgil Jack and Tak Fields, a grandson, Frankie Wright, two sisters, Margaret McClellan and Wanda Donahue, four brothers, Harold, Franklin, Francis and Don Bowman, a son-in-law, John Wright.

She is suvived by a son, Lawrence Fields and his wife Brenda of Kitts Hill, a daughter, Louise Wright of Ironton; a sister, Joann Gollihue of Chiefland, FL., two brothers, John Bowman of St. Petersburg, FL., and Kenneth Bowman of Dade City, FL., a daughter-in-law, Joyce Fields of Ironton, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one deceased great- grandchild and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, OH., with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery.
