Mrs. Hornbeck was born April 26, 1929, in Oran, Mo., to the late David Jefferson Vincent and Sarah Louvera Elizabeth (Sloat) Gower. She was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. An avid gardener, she loved canning and sharing with her family and friends. She was an excellent seamstress making wedding dresses and prom gowns for her children and grandchildren.
On October 5, 1944, she married Jesse Hornbeck, in Corning, Ark. He preceded her to heaven this year and we know he was waiting for her with open arms at the eastern gate.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda and Sharon, four grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; a brother James Albert Gower, a sister Dorothy Moore.
Preceding her in death were siblings, Rosetta Stucker, David Gower and Jimmy Henson.
