Mrs. Betty Ray Smith Akins Tolleson, age 62, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Tuesday, October 08, 2013, in the Brookewood Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on September 22, 1951 in Ashdown, Arkansas, to Leonard Ray and Verna Louise Oglesby Smith. She was a homemaker, and a member of the New Life In Jesus Christ Church in Nashville, Arkansas. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and visiting with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold Thomas and Gene Thomas, and a sister, Glenna Tuttle.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Victor Martin of De Queen, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Tammy Akins of Foreman, and John Akins of Horatio, eight grandchildren, Justin, Derek, Taylor, Matthew, Kristin, Garet, Dylan, and Kory, three Great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Joseph, and Emiley, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lola and G. A. Cearley of Vandervoort, Arkansas, Evelyn and Dan Ford of Horatio, and Janet and Joe Sumrell of Ashdown, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Tolleson will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 11th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Lankford Moore and Mary Alice Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
