Ida Fay Perryman Wood Barraclough passed from our presence on October 4, 2013 in Bountiful, Utah.

Fay was born November 10, 1935 in Elkville, Illinois to Lowern Perryman and Reba May Correll. She was the oldest of three daughters.

She met the love of her life, Lavell Wood, in St. Louis and they were married on November 19, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they joyously raised a daughter and 4 sons in Salt Lake and Cedar Rapids, Iowa until Lavell died unexpectedly on January 3, 1973. This was one of the trials of her life. She then married Clyde Barraclough on November 7, 1975 and they welcomed another son into the world. Clyde passed away on February 10, 2003.

Fay was well known for her bright outlook on life, her love for all people, and her unconquerable spirit. During part of her life, she took on the character of "Granny Sunshine" and she visited anyone who needed some tender loving care or had a moment of need. She would bring a smile, encouraging words, and an apple.

Fay was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities throughout the years. Even after her health declined and her body was not as strong as it used to be, she continued to serve and lift others in her own unique and selfless way.

Fay leaves behind her six children, Rachel Wood, Logan Wood (Josi), Jason Wood (Marcy), Trevor Wood (Julie), Nathan Wood (Teresa), and Grant Barraclough (Crystal); her sisters, Joan Cochran (Donald) and Sue Funk (Benny); sixteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Bountiful Tabernacle located on Main and Center streets in Bountiful, Utah.
Interment will be in Elkville, Illinois.
