James T. Morgan Dies At Age 66;
Funeral Friday
James T. Morgan, of 609 South Tenth
street, died at 2:00 p.m.Tuesday at
Good Samaritan Hospital,where he had
been a patient for the past three
weeks. Mr. Morgan, a trucker, was 66
years, three months and 27 days of Age.
Funeral services will be held Friday
at 1:30 p.m.at Myers Chapel,with the
Rev. Charlie Karch officiating. Friends
may call at Myers Chapel at any time
after 2:00 p.m. Thursday.Mr.Morgan was
born November 9 1889 in Mt. Vernon, the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Morgan. He was
a lifetime resident of this city. On
April 7,1936 he was married,in Mt. Vernon
to Versa Nelson, who survives.Besides his
wife,he is survived by one son Floyd Morgan
of Benton; one daughter, Mrs. Ella Roberts
of Hot Springs, Ark. A sister, Mrs. Dora
Cameron of Idaho; a stepson, Ivan M. Dodson
of Mt. Vernon; and a stepdaughter,Mrs.Dorothy
McClellan of Mt. Vernon.
