Mr. Ihlefeld died Friday, Aug. 29, 1997, at Meadowlawn Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 15, 1893, in Davenport. He married Ella Schmidt Jan. 8, 1916,
in Scott County. She died in 1975.
He farmed on his family farm for over 80 years.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Erna and John Logan, Ottumwa,
Iowa, and Vera and Art Sessler, Durant, Iowa; sons, Bruno, Davenport, Albert,
Elkhart, Ind., and Edgar, Davenport; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren;
and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters
and two brothers.
